OUR WHITSETT FAMILY HISTORY

Available on CD or download from this site

Cover of History of Our Whitsett Family

A history of the Whitsett families who settled in Lauderdale County, Alabama in the 1820's is available from our download page or on CD.  The download, of course is free.  Click here to go to our Family History Download page or click on the cover on the left.

I am asking for a $5.00 donation for three CD's to cover the cost of material and shipping (each CD contains the same material).  The CD contains, in addition to the history in PDF format, an identical copy in MS Word 2000 format.  If you have MS Word 2000 or later on your computer you can use it to view, print, search, and edit (if you so desire).  If you do not have MS Word 2000 I have included MS Word Viewer which you can install free on your computer.  It allows you to view the documents several different ways, go directly to a topic heading by clicking on the chapter title in the Table of Contents, search and print the document.  Also included as a bonus is the story of Sim Whitsett, Civil War Guerrilla who rode with William Clarke Quantril and was a friend of Frank and Jessie James, and the younger brothers.

I have also included several photos sent to me by descendants of the Lauderdale County Family.  These are in jpg and gif format and can be viewed directly from your web browser, saved to your computer or viewed in any Windows image software.  History of Our Whitsett Family is in large print for easy reading and contains an index of names and places.  There are a total of 93 pages and include several photographs.  There is a text document with a list and description of all images and a README file containing instructions for installing the free Word Viewer.  Please allow five to seven days for delivery.  If I have your email address I will try to notify you when the package is shipped.

Please send your request to me:
