In November, 2007 Stephen "Joe" Williams of Old Lyme, Connecticut sent me photos he took at the Allman Cemetery located off U.S. 33 at Lorentz, Upshur County, West Virginia. This stone was obviously erected long after his death. William Allman was the father of Elizabeth Allman, wife of John H. Westfall and mother of Peter Westfall who is buried in the Harrison Grove Cemetery on Murphy's Creek Road, Lewis County, West Virginia	Headstone of the grave of George Allman (1800-1877), son of William and Elizabeth Weatherholt Allman and brother to Elizabeth Allman Westfall. George's wives also on the headstone, Barbara "his wife" (1802-1854), Mildred "his wife" (1819-1903); also, daughter Mary E. Allman, "daughter of G. & B. While driving around the Buckhannon area, we mistook the Mount Hermon Church and cemetery for the Mount Rupert Church and cemetery a few miles down the road. We nevertheless found a couple of Westfall headstones. Henry F. Westfall was the son of Ira Burton Westfall and Ida Catherine Lowe.	Mount Hermon Cemetery, east of Buckhannon. Virgil Westfall was the son of Ira Burton Westfall and Ida Catherine Lowe. Mt. Hermon is on Childers Run Road (CR5) and U.S. 33. (Staunton-Parkersburg Turnpike).	Mount Rupert Cemetery three or four miles east of Buckhannon near Heavener Grove on the north side of County Road 151 and Upper Childers Run, and a couple of miles east of Mount Hermon.
Mt. Rupert Cemetery; Col. Watson Westfall, died Feb. 19, 1892 aged 74 years; Watson Westfall was a minister, the father of Jasper Newton and Granville Dayton Westfall, and several other children; on the headstone is the symbol for a minister, a hand holding the Bible	Mt. Rupert Cemetery; "OUR FATHER" G.D. Westfall Jan. 4, 1848 - Mar. 8, 1908; Granville Dayton Westfall was the son of Watson and Rachel (Tenney) Westfall and brother of Jasper Newton Westfall.	Mt. Rupert Cemetery, Buckhannon, W.Va.; Ida May daughter of G.D. and M.E. Westfall, Dec. 31, 1863, Oct 3, 1893; one source states that Ida died in Illinois.

Westfall, born May 22, 1840; died May 3, 1890. Jasper Newton Westfall was the son of Watson and Rachel (Tenney) Westfall.	Mt. Rupert Cemetery; George G. (1864-1942) and his wife Emma Westfall (1874-1956); George Gideon Westfall was the son of Jasper Newton Westfall and Jane Reese. The headstone has been toppled.
Mt Rupert Cemetery, Upshur Co., W.Va.; Ira N. (1880-1976) and Bertha G. Westfall (1883-1963); Ira Newton Westfall was the son of Jasper Newton and Jane (Reese) Westfall. I do not know the maiden name for Bertha.	Old Heavner Cemetery, now the Buckhannon Memorial Cemetery is on Post Mill/Hall Road on the north side of U.S. 33. The cemetery is on the site of the old Buckhannon Fort, also known as Bush Fort. Famous scout and Indian fighter William White, grandfather of Henry Fry Westfall, was killed in 1782 by Indians on the side of Indian Knob shown here in the background just to the right of the large oak tree in the center of the picture.
