A short video of Pascal at play, 13 April 2010. Notice that by this time all of the greenery was gone. Trail ride on 18 April 2010. KJ invited me along on his trail ride for his customers designed to build their confidence and condition their horses for trail riding away from their normal environment. This is the Bulldog Canyon trail near Usery Pass in Mesa. With KJ (center) is Rudy (left) riding his horse Jack and Paige (right) riding her horse Sitka.		Paige Johnson was building her confidence for trail riding on Sitka. Sitka had a history of abuse and a well-known trainer had written the mare off as un-trainable. Friend KJ was able to train Sitka to be a safe and gentle ride. 18 April 2010
KJ training Dollar to load into an unfamiliar trailer. Dollar belongs to neighbor Rosie Snell. This is the trailer that almost cost me my life. In May, while trying to load one of KJ's thoroughbred stallions at my place, the horse kicked the tailgate/loading ramp just as I was about to latch it. I ended up flat on my back and the horse severely trampled my lower legs. This picture is several weeks earlier at the Bulldog Canyon trail head near Usery Pass in Mesa. 18 April 2010	After a few minutes KJ coaxed Dollar into the trailer. After this I was able to load Dollar without too much trouble. 18 April 2010		Our iris began blooming in April. This was the first bloom of the year. We brought these plants with us from Arkansas when we moved back to Arizona in 2003. They produce beautiful flowers in the cooler months of spring. This plant had several flowers on it before the heat set in and the blooms died. 19 April 2010
18 April 2010	This is my second Bulldog Canyon trail ride with KJ and his customers. This time Rosie Snell came along with Cinnamon. KJ in the lead on Beauty, a gelding owned by Rudy who is the next rider behind KJ on his black gelding Jack, followed by Rosie on Cinnamon and me on Dollar. 25 April 2010		Rosie and Cinnamon on the Bulldog Canyon trail in the Goldfield Mountains north of Mesa. KJ and his students turned around after an hour. Rosie and decided to go on and take the trail down to the Salt River. 25 April 2010
The Bulldog Canyon trail is a popular site for riders. You occasionally run into people in 4WD, ATV's and bikes but no so much as to be a problem. 25 April 2010	Me on Dollar above Bulldog Canyon.
