This is a list of all known surnames of our direct ancestors, many of which I have not researched; most of these are from the female lines but they are every bit as much of our family history as those in the male lines

Listed here are the KNOWN names and surnames of ancestors that I have not researched. Most of these names are from the female lines of those family trees that I have researched. They are all our grandfathers and grandmothers and their genes also flow through our veins.

ADAMS, MARGARET "MAGGIE": Forth wife of BRYANT BREWER of Crawford County, Arkansas. Maggie was born September 28, 1856 in Franklin County, Arkansas, the daughter of DAVID ADAMS and MARTHA GORDON and the mother of FLORENCE ELNORE BREWER. She died February 11, 1933 in Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas. David Adams was born about 1825 in Tennessee. Great Grandmother of CAROLYN SUE WHITSETT-WALL.

ALBRIGHT, ELIZABETH: wife of SAMUEL SNYDER (SNIDER) (1809-1887) and mother of SARAH ANN SNIDER TROWBRIDGE, wife of JAMES MCGREW TROWBRIDGE; Elizabeth was born Aug. 26, 1812 in Virginia and died Aug. 8, 1861. She was the daughter of DAVID ALBRIGHT and SUSANNA MILLER. 3rd Great Grandmother of RONALD NEVIN WALL

ALBRIGHT, HANNAH: Mother of ELIZA ANN WILLIAMS, wife of JOSEPH TYLER, son of BENJAMIN TYLER and OLIVE BROWN of Wadsworth, Medina County, Ohio. Eliza was born January 28, 1824 in Stark County, Ohio, and died on June 5, 1893 in Wadsworth, Medina Co., Ohio. Eliza's father was JOHN WILLIAMS. 3rd Great Grandmother of Ronald Nevin Wall.

ARCHER, MARY: Married SOLOMON TYLER, son of JOSEPH TYLER and great grandson of JOB TYLER, February 17, 1781 in Uxbridge, Worchester County, Massachusetts. She was born 1761 in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, and died July 17, 1808 in Uxbridge. 4th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

BECKETT, ANN: Wife of JAMES CORBETT of West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England and mother of ARTHUR CORBETT of Akron, Ohio and Crawford County, Arkansas. Ann was born about 1844 and died before 1881 in England. She was the daughter of JAMES BECKETT of West Bromwich, England. 2nd Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

BECKER, MARGARETHA: Wife of NOAH FREDERICK, married in Bethel Township of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania January 8, 1751 (new style date) by the Rev. John Casper Stoever; mother of THOMAS FREDERICK of Pennsylvania and Lisbon, Ohio. 5th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

BEVIS, ALICE: wife of JOHN MARSHALL and mother of ELIZABETH MARSHALL who married THOMAS TROWBRIDGE in 1627 in Exeter, Devonshire, England. 10th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

BOGARD, ANNE: wife of ABEL WESTFALL (1696-1755) and mother of CORNELIUS WESTFALL (1721-1783); she was the daughter of CORNELIUS BOGARD and EVA HOERNBECK; she was born May 9, 1697 in Kingston, New York and married Abel Feb. 25, 1717 (new style) in Kingston. 5th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

BOOTH, NANCY: Mother of LAURA T. STANARD who married Rush Tyler of Wadsworth, Ohio on July 1, 1875 in Montville, Medina Co., Ohio. Laura was born on August 22, 1850 in Montville, Medina County, Ohio, and died February 24, 1893 in Wadsworth. According to family lore, our Booth family were distantly related to the infamous John Wilkes Booth. Laura's father was WILLIAM STANARD. 2nd Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

BRANSON, NANCY ADALINE "ANN": daughter of WILLIAM BRANSON (1804-1882) and wife of Alexander Allen; was born Oct. 30, 1854 in Missouri and died before June 1900 probably in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. Her grandfather was JOHN JEFFERSON BRANSON III b. 1776 in Burks Forks, Carroll, Va. and her grandmother was SARAH M. DILLARD or DILLIARD b. abt 1780 in Patrick, Va. This Branson family supposedly related to the founders of Branson, Missouri. 2nd Great Grandmother of Carolyn Sue Whitsett-Wall.

BRIGGS, ELIZA: Wife of BRYANT BREWER I of Wayne and Fountain County, Indiana. Bryant and Eliza were the grandparents of BRYANT BREWER of Crawford County, Arkansas. Eliza was born Oct. 3, 1798 in South Carolina and died sometime after 1850 in Iowa. 3rd Great Grandmother of Carolyn Sue Whitsett-Wall.

BROWN, OLIVE: married BENJAMIN TYLER, son of SOLOMON TYLER, on June 8, 1820 in Medina County, Ohio. She was the daughter of ABRAHAM BROWN who brought his family from Bennington Vermont to Medina County, Ohio around 1820. Family lore says that the Brown family of Medina County were related to the infamous abolitionist John Brown who was also from Ohio. I have found no documentation to support this legend. 3rd Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

BUNCH, SARAH: wife of HARROD HOPSON (1778-ca.1865) and daughter of MARTIN BUNCH and wife Ann; she was the mother of WILLIAM HOPSON of Lauderdale County, Alabama; she married Harrod Hopson in Wake County, North Carolina about 1800; she was born about 1788 in North Carolina and died before 1840 in East Tennessee. 4th Great Grandmother of Carolyn Sue Whitsett-Wall.

CLARK, ISABELLA: wife of COL. JAMES MCGREW of Pennsylvania and Virginia, and mother of JAMES CLARK MCGREW of Kingwood, Preston County, (West) Virginia and JANE MCGREW, wife of SAMUEL GRADY TROWBRIDGE. 4th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

COOL, MARY JACOBS: wife of JOHANNES JURIAN WESTFALL who was the son of JURIAEN WESTFALL and MARY HANSEN; she was the daughter of JACOB COOL and MARITJE SIMONS (Marie Simons); she married John Westfall of Foxhall Manor on January 28, 1682/83 in Kingston, New York; she was born before March 7, 1665/66 in Kingston, New York. The name is sometimes given as COLE. 6th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

DILLARD, SARAH M. (or DILLIARD) mother of WILLIAM BRANSON, wife of JOHN JEFFERSON BRANSON III and grandmother of NANCY A. BRANSON, wife of ALEXANDER ALLEN of Crawford County, Arkansas and Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. She was born about 1780 in Patrick, Virginia. 4th Great Grandmother of Carolyn Sue Whitsett-Wall.

DILLION, CATHERINE: wife of GEORGE SNIDER (born about 1758) and Great Grandmother of SARAH ANN SNIDER TROWBRIDGE; no other details are known. 5th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

DRAPER, MARY: Second wife of JOSEPH TYLER, the son of Deacon JOHN TYLER and grandson of JOB TYLER; they were married on September 23, 1756 in Uxbridge, Worchester County, Massachusetts. 5th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

DUYTSCHER, MARGARET: wife of JACOB WESTFALL and mother of ELIZABETH WESTFALL who married her first cousin, CORNELIUS WESTFALL on November 20, 1747 in Minisink, New York. Margaret married Jacob on November 19, 1717 in Kingston, New York. She was born in Hurley, New York. 5th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

FITCH, MARY: wife of MATHEW SHERWOOD and mother of ANNE SHERWOOD who married JOSEPH TROWBRIDGE about 1708 in Fairfield, Conneticut. 8th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

FRIDINGER, CLARA: wife of ARTHUR COBETT SR. and mother of ARTHUR EDMOND CORBETT of Summit County, Ohio and Van Buren, Arkansas. She was born August 1881 in Massillon, Ohio and died October, 1930 in Akron. She was the daughter of CHARLES S. FRIDINGER who was born in October 1854 in Germany. Great Grandmother of Ronald N. GORDON, MARTHA: Wife of DAVID ADAMS of Franklin County, Arkansas, mother of MARGARET ADAMS and grandmother of FLORENCE ELNORE BREWER. Martha was born about 1827 in Tennessee. 2nd Great Grandmother of Carolyn Sue Whitsett-Wall.

GRADY, MARY: wife of REV. DAVID TROWBRIDGE (1772-1864) of Kingwood, Preston County, (West) Virginia and mother of REV. SAMUEL GRADY TROWBRIDGE (1801-1887); she was born 1774 in Dunkards Bottom, (West) Virginia, and died May 22, 1849 in Kingwood, Preston Co., Virginia. 4th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

HANSEN, MARY: (Maretjen OR Marritje Hansen) wife of JURIAEN WESTFALL daughter of HANS JANSEN NOORDSTRANDT; about 1659, Juriaen Westphael and settled at Kingston, where they had a number of children baptised. He died about 1667. She then married JACOB JANSEN STOUTENBURGH. 7th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

HELMICK, ELIZABETH: wife of CORNELIUS WESTFALL JR., son of CORNELIUS WESTFALL and ELIZABETH WESTFALL and mother of JOHN H. WESTFALL; she was the daughter of JACOB HELMICK of Randolph County, Virginia and was born about 1775 and died before 1830; married Cornelius on January 13, 1796 in Randolph Co., Virginia. 3rd Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

HOFFMAN, ANNA MARIA "MARY": Wife of BERNHARD KUDER (1729-1782) who came to Pennsylvania from Neckargartach, Wurttemberg, Germany; they were married in Germantown, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania on November 7, 1764; she died at an advanced age in Wythe County, Virginia supposedly about 1811. After the death of Bernhard Mary moved with her children to Wythe County, Virginia and changed the spelling of her name to COOTER. She later married John Bishop. 4th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

HOLMES, LYDIA: wife of DAVID TROWBRIDGE (1709-1768); they were married July 3, 1735 in Bedford, New York. She was born January 21, 1715/16, and died January 27, 1792 in Morristown, New Jersey. 6th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

HORNBECK, EVA: wife of CORNELIUS BOGARD and mother of ANNE BOGARD who married ABEL WESTFALL in 1717 in Kingston, New York. 6th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

HUTCHINS, JOAN: wife of THOMAS TROWBRIDGE (1542-1619) and mother of JOHN TROWBRIDGE (1570-1649); the marriage record lists her as JOAN HUTCHINS LAWRENCE, which seems to indicate that she married a Lawrence before she married Thomas. They were married about 1569 in Somersetshire, England. 11th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

KIME, MARY: Wife of JACOB KUDER and mother of ABIGAIL KUDER, wife of REASON WALL SR. Abigail was born January 4, 1844 in Sharon Township, Medina Co., Ohio, and died April 7, 1910 in Sharon Township, Medina Co., Ohio. 2nd Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

KINDT, CATHERINE: Mother of ANNA CATHERINE BAUGHMAN who married CHRISTIAN WALL in Northampton County, Pennsylvania in 1803. Catherine Kindt was the wife of NICHOLAS BACHMAN. 4th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

KRAUS, ANNA MARIA: Wife of HANS JAKOB KUDER of Neckargartach, Wurttemberg, Germany; she was born 1657 in Biberach, Wurttemberg, Germany. Married Jacob Kuder February 26, 1684/85 in Wurttemberg, Germany. 6th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

LAMBERTON, ELIZABETH: wife of WILLIAM TROWBRIDGE (1633-1688) our immigrant Trowbridge ancestor. Elizabeth and William were married in Milford, Conneticut on March 9, 1657 (new style); she was the daughter of GEORGE and MARGARET LAMBERTON. She died 1716 in West Haven, Conneticut. 8th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

LINARD, MARY ANN: wife of HENRY MILLER (1755-1842), Great Grandmother of SARAH ANN SNIDER TROWBRIDGE; no other details known at this time. 5th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

MARSHALL, ELIZABETH: wife of THOMAS TROWBRIDGE (1600-1672) and mother of the Trowbridge immigrant ancestor WILLIAM TROWBRIDGE (1633-1688); daughter of JOHN MARSHALL and ALICE BEVIS. She was born Abt. 1603 in Exeter, Devonshire, England, and died Abt. 1641 in New Haven, Conneticut. 9th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

MCDANIEL, FANNIE BELLE: wife of WILLIAM ISAAC WHITSETT (1859-1927) of Lauderdale Co., Ala. and Sebastian Co., Arkansas; daughter of JAMES MCDANIEL and MARY; Fannie was born in November 1859 in Mississippi and died July 18, 1943 in Michigan, probably in the Detroit area. James McDaniel was born in 1838 in Alabama and died after 1910 probably in Arkansas; according to the 1880 census, James' father was born in Scotland and his mother in Ireland, but the 1910 census of Polk County, Arkansas lists the place of birth of both parents as Georgia. Also according to the 1910 census, James and Mary McDaniel were married about 1856. Great Grandmother of Carolyn Sue Whitsett-Wall.

MCGREW, JANE: wife of REV. SAMUEL GRADY TROWBRIDGE (1801-1887) and mother of JAMES MCGREW TROWBRIDGE; she married Samuel on February 17, 1825 in Brandonville, Virginia; she was the daughter of JAMES MCGREW and ISABELLA CLARK and the sister of JAMES CLARK MCGREW of Kingwood. Her grandfather was PATRICK MCGREW of Pennsylvania. Jane McGrew was born April 2, 1805, and died October 30, 1883 in Cecil, Pennsylvania. 3rd Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

MCHOUGH, LUCRETIA: Wife of THOMAS BREWER of North Carolina and Wayne County, Indiana. She was born about 1766 in North Carolina and died after 1855 in Kosciusko Co., Indiana. 4th Great Grandmother of Carolyn Sue Whitsett-Wall.

MILLER, SUSANNA: wife of DAVID ALBRIGHT (1785-1857); she was born Feb. 1791 and died April 8, 1876; she was the daughter of HENRY MILLER and MARY ANN LINARD. 4th Great Grandmother of RONALD NEVIN WALL

PARKER, HANNAH: daughter of NATHAN PARKER and MARY who married Deacon JOHN TYLER, son of JOB TYLER, in Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts in 1682. She was born May 14, 1659 in Andover. 6th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

PRICE, MARGARET: wife of JOHN SNIDER (1781-1851) and grandmother of SARAH ANN SNIDER TROWBRIDGE; she died about 1812; no other details are known. 4th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

PROWSE, AGNESS: wife of JOHN TROWBRIDGE (1570-1649) and mother of THOMAS TROWBRIDGE (1600-1672); married John probably around 1590 in Taunton, Somersetshire, England. 10th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

RUBLE, JANE: wife of SAMUEL TROWBRIDGE (1742-1823) of Frederick County, Virginia and mother of Rev. DAVID TROWBRIDGE (1772-1864) of Kingwood, Preston County (West) Virginia; she was born about 1750 and died in Frederick County, Virginia in 1785. 5th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

SHANK, ELIZABETH: Wife of THOMAS FREDERICK of Wayne County, Ohio and mother of SOPHIA FREDERICK, wife of CHARLES WALL of Sharon Center, Medina County, Ohio. Sophia was born in 1808 probably in Columbiana County, Ohio and died in Sharon Center in 1897. 3rd Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

SHELTON, JANE: wife of WILLIAM HOPSON (1813-1882) of Lauderdale County, Alabama; she was born about 1817 in Tennessee and died before 1880 in Lauderdale County, Ala. Jane was the mother of MARY ANN HOPSON who married WILLIAM WALLACE WHITSETT in Lauderdale Co. November 19, 1856; after the death of William during the Civil War, Mary Ann married a Terry. 3rd Great Grandmother of Carolyn Sue Whitsett-Wall.

SHERWOOD, ANNE: wife of JOSEPH TROWBRIDGE (1676-1715); they were married about 1708 in Fairfield, Conneticut; she was the daughter of MATHEW SHERWOOD and MARY FITCH. 7th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

SIMMONS, MARIE: wife of JACOB COOL and mother of MARY JACOBS COOL who married JOHN WESTFALL of Foxhall Manor in January 1682/83. 7th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

SNIDER, SARAH ANN: wife of JAMES MCGREW TROWBRIDGE (1826-1909) of Kingwood, Preston Co., West Virginia; daughter of SAMUEL SNYDER and ELIZABETH ALBRIGHT; Sarah was born July 26, 1834 Green Glades, Preston County, (West) Virginia and died Jan. 4, 1918 in Kingwood. 2nd Great Grandmother of Ronald N. STANARD, LAURA T. : married RUSH TYLER of Wadsworth, Ohio on July 1, 1875 in Montville, Medina Co., Ohio. Laura was born on August 22, 1850 in Montville, Medina County, Ohio, and died February 24, 1893 in Wadsworth. Laura's mother was NANCY BOOTH whose family was related to infamous John Wilkes Booth. Her father was WILLIAM STANARD (1803-1860). Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

SUTTLES, ORA F: wife of JAMES A. ALLEN of Liberty, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, son of ALEXANDER ALLEN and father of JOHN ANCIL ALLEN. Ora was the daughter of MARTHA who married a Suttles and then Mr. Southern of Sequoyah County, OK. Ora was born in 1878 in Missouri and died about 1899 in Sequoyah County. TIBBINS, ANN MARGARET: Wife of THOMAS FREDERICK of Lisbon, Ohio; she was born in Pennsylvania in 1754 and died in Ohio in 1826; she was the grandmother of SOPHIA FREDERICK, wife of CHARLES WALL of Sharon Center, Medina County, Ohio. 4th Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

W

WELSH, MARTHA: wife of Patrick McGrew who was the son apparently of John "Ian" McGrew who settled in the vacinity of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania in the 1740's. Patrick and Martha were the parents of Colonel James McGrew of Bandonville, Preston County, (West) Virginia who wass born probably in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania in 1779, and the grandparents of Jane McGrew who married Samuel Grady Trowbridge of Kingwood, Preston County. Martha may be a close relative of John Welsh who married 1st Elizabeth Whiteside/Whitsett in Lebanon Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1738 by the Rev. John Casper Stoever. Martha was probably born around 1750, and at that time the only Welsh family I have identified in Cumberland County as the family of John Welsh and his second wife Ann Sharp. 5th great grandmother of Ronald N. WILLIAMS, ELIZA ANN: wife of JOSEPH TYLER, son of BENJAMIN TYLER and OLIVE BROWN of Wadsworth, Medina County, Ohio. Eliza was born January 28, 1824 in Stark County, Ohio, and died on June 5, 1893 in Wadsworth, Medina Co., Ohio. Eliza was the daughter of JOHN WILLIAMS and HANNAH ALBRIGHT. 2nd Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.

WILSON, ELIZABETH: wife of ISAAC WHITSETT (1812-1865) of Lauderdale Co., Alabama and daughter of JAMES W. WILSON of Lauderdale Co.; she was born Abt. 1816 in Tennessee, and died Bef. 1870 in Probably Lauderdale Co., Ala.; she married Isaac on July 20, 1837 in Lauderdale Co., Alabama. 3rd Great Grandmother of Carolyn Sue Whitsett-Wall.

WILSON, LYDIA: wife of JOHN H. WESTFALL (1806-1870) and mother of NATHANIEL JONATHAN WESTFALL; She was born June 1820 in (West) Virginia, the daughter of GEORGE H. WILSON and Nancy Wilson; she died October 12, 1907 in Lewis Co., West Virginia and is buried in the Harrison Grove Cemetery on Murphy's Creek Road in Lewis County south of Weston. Lydia was married first to Solomon P. Smith about 1837. 2nd Great Grandmother of Ronald N. Wall.
